Our Journey to Caladan

A Dream in the Lagoon

2015

On a night snorkel off Tahiti, our founders imagined a place where overwater luxury and true Polynesian culture could live side by side. The idea for Caladan was born under a sky full of stars.

Finding the Perfect Shore

2018

After years of scouting islands and reefs, we discovered a quiet lagoon with crystal-clear water, healthy coral, and sunset views. This untouched stretch of sand became Caladan’s future home.

Opening Our Overwater Bungalows

2021

Caladan welcomed its first guests with 20 overwater bungalows, a lagoon-facing restaurant, and guided marine adventures. Early reviews praised the intimate atmosphere and local-led experiences.

Caladan Becomes a Lagoon Icon

2025

With expanded villas, signature chef’s table dinners, and renowned night snorkel tours, Caladan evolved into a sought-after escape in French Polynesia, loved by returning guests and first-time dreamers alike.

Answers to Common Questions

Private Sales, Explained

What is The Shoebox Society?

The Shoebox Society is a private collectors network that helps collectors sell PSA-graded cards through a trusted network of qualified buyers. We offer both direct purchase opportunities and access to our private buyer network.

What types of cards do you accept?

We are currently focused on PSA-graded sports cards with an estimated market value of $250 or more. Select high-value Pokémon, TCG, and memorabilia items may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How do I submit a card?

Simply complete the submission form and provide either:

• Your PSA certification number
• A link to your PSA Vault
• Photos of the front and back of the slab

Our team will review the submission and follow up with next steps.

Is there a fee to submit a card?

No. Submitting a card for review is completely free and does not obligate you to sell.

How does the private buyer network work?

Rather than presenting your card to a single buyer, qualified cards may be privately offered to members of our approved collector and buyer network. This allows sellers to explore additional liquidity options without publicly listing their card on a marketplace.

Will my card be listed publicly?

Most submissions are reviewed within 1–3 business days, although response times may vary based on submission volume and the complexity of the collection.

What happens after I submit my card?

After reviewing your submission, we may:

• Present a direct purchase offer
• Introduce the card to our private buyer network
• Request additional information or photos
• Recommend an alternative selling strategy

What factors determine an offer?

Offers are based on several factors, including:

• PSA certification and grade
• Recent sales data and market comps
• Player demand and market liquidity
• Eye appeal and overall condition
• Population reports and scarcity

Your Collection Deserves Its Next Chapter

Submit your PSA certification number, Vault link, or card details to receive a confidential review and explore your private selling options.
